Wellend Health is very pleased to announce that Dr. Jacqui Adams has recently joined our medical team.

Dr. Adams is a Medical Oncologist who specialises in Cancer Genetics.  She completed her medical degree at the University of Adelaide, before training in Medical Oncology and Cancer Genetics in the UK where she also worked as a locum Consultant in Breast Cancer Oncology and Genetics.

Dr. Adams knowledge and experience in both oncology and genetics enable her to compassionately address the medical, psychological and ethical consequences of familial cancer and genetic testing.  She provides patients with an assessment of inherited cancer risk, personalised screening advice and risk reducing strategies, even if genetic testing is not performed.

Dr. Adams is a member of the NSW Cancer Institute eviQ Cancer Genetics reference committee which works with national experts to provide standardised Australian guidelines for the testing and management of inherited disorders associated with cancer.
